Financial Literacy Program Specialist


Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT) seeking to hire a Spanish Speaking Financial Literacy Program Specialist (Full Time)

iACT’s mission is to cultivate peace and respect through interfaith dialogue, service, and celebration. 

This Financial Literacy Program Specialist embodies and fulfills iACT’s mission by providing support for youths in middle and high school who live in low- income households. This role ensures that all prospective participants and guardians: 

  • Receive accurate program information 
  • Are guided through registration and eligibility verification, 
  • Are successfully onboarded into the program. 

Specific Duties 
  • Client outreach and recruitment (in English and Spanish)- this includes some evenings and weekends 
  • Enrollment and intake 
  • Data and reporting 
  • Administrative and general program support 

Agency Duties 
  • Helping, supporting, and participating in iACT events and fundraisers 
  • Attending weekly staff meetings 
  • Promoting a collaborative and strong teamwork environment 
  • Representing iACT positively in the community 

Hours 
  • This Program Specialist position is a full-time, exempt position of 40 hours per week. We offer a flexible work schedule as well as generous paid time off; however, your work schedule should be in harmony with the Personnel Policies of iACT and the needs of the program 

Qualifications and Education Requirements 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish 
  • Good communicator in both languages 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher 
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented and flexible 
  • Self- starting and can work well independently 
  • Preferred: At least two-year’s experience working with vulnerable populations and/or youths

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation required 
  • Requires flexible schedule with occasional evening and weekend work 
  • Based on site in Austin, Texas (78701) —not a remote work position 

Salary range 
$48,000-$50,000 (depending on experience and qualifications), with health insurance and generous paid time off
